David
Hodge
Internal Kungfu
David started martial arts at the age of nine with Judo
and over the years has trained in Hapkido, Aikido, and Ninjitsu. He started
Beijing Tai Chi and Kung Fu Academy in October of 2006 with Ba Gua and
Yang Tai Chi. He soon began to participate in competitions which increased
his focus and drive to learn more. David has since earned 33 medals and
trophies, certificates in Tai Chi, Ba Gua, and Xing Yi, and a black sash
in internal martial arts in less than three years. He has always enjoyed
the physical and mental aspects of martial for the workouts and as a way
of personal expression, "When you think you have done all you can,
you can still do a little more." David continues to practice the
internal arts, but also trains in other disciplines such as Sanda and
ground fighting.
