Laurel Partin
Internal Kung Fu

Laurel Partin earned her Black Sash in Internal Chinese Martial Arts at Beijing TaiChi and Kung Fu Academy where she has been studying with both Master Jonathan Wang and Grand Master Daniel Yu Wang for over five years. Laurel loves studying Yang and Chen TaiChi, BaGua Zhang, Xing Yi, and Internal Weapons forms.

She is currently competitively placed nationally in the Women’s Advanced level for Chen Style TaiChi, BaGua Hand Form, BaGua Weapons Form, XingYi Hand Form, and Women’s Advanced level for TaiChi Weapon Form Other Weapon. She has earned 13 Gold and 5 Silver medals in national level competitions.

Currently an educator by trade and a musician by passion, Laurel is on faculty at Crossroads School where she teaches science, assists in the technical aspects of theatrical productions and facilitates the Jazz Outreach club (a community service jazz combo).
